How Much Are 100,000 Marriott Points Worth?
Updated · By the WanderWise editorial team
100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points are worth about $700–$900 on hotel stays in 2026, at 0.7–0.9¢ per point. A full week at a budget hotel, a few full-service nights, or one luxury night on most dates.
What 100,000 points realistically does
100,000 points is the top of the luxury range we measure (60,000–100,000), so it covers one Ritz-Carlton- or St. Regis-type night on most dates. At 25,000 points a night it buys four select-service nights and the fifth comes free; at 15,000 it buys six and becomes seven. At full-service hotels it covers three nights at 30,000 or two at 50,000.
Nights 100,000 points can cover
Marriott has priced award nights dynamically since its award chart ended on March 29, 2022, so there is no fixed price per hotel. These are the points-per-night ranges we measure by property type; the night counts include Marriott's Stay for 5, Pay for 4 benefit and assume a similar price each night.
| Property type | Points / night | Nights with 100,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Select service Courtyard, Fairfield Inn | 15,000–25,000 | 5–7 nights |
| Full service Westin, Sheraton | 30,000–50,000 | 2–3 nights |
| Luxury The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis | 60,000–100,000 | 1 night |
The Points Guy has reported nights of up to 150,000 points at Marriott's most aspirational luxury hotels — above the luxury range shown here. Before you book, divide the cash rate by the points price: above about 0.9¢ per point is a good redemption, below about 0.7¢ means paying cash is usually better.
Using 100,000 points with a free night certificate
Since March 12, 2026, Marriott lets you add up to 25,000 points to a free night certificate (up from 15,000). Your 100,000 points cover a full 25,000-point top-off with 75,000 to spare:
- 35K certificate → a night priced up to 60,000 points
- 50K certificate → a night priced up to 75,000 points
- 85K certificate → a night priced up to 110,000 points
Transferring 100,000 points to airline miles
100,000 points transfer to about 38,333 miles at most airline partners (3:1, plus 5,000 bonus miles for every 60,000 points). American, Avianca and Delta don't get the bonus, so those transfers yield about 33,333 miles. That only beats a hotel redemption when you have already found a specific award flight.
Our recommendation for 100,000 points
Plan a five-night points stay if you can — at this balance the Stay for 5, Pay for 4 benefit is worth a full night. Avoid gift cards ($400–$500) and be cautious with airline transfers (about 38,333 miles at most partners) unless a specific award needs them.

Frequently asked questions
How much are 100,000 Marriott points worth?
100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points are worth about $700–$900 on hotel stays, at 0.7 to 0.9 cents per point (The Points Guy values Marriott points at 0.75 cents as of September 2026). Redeemed for gift cards they are worth only about $400–$500.
How many free nights can I get with 100,000 Marriott points?
Using the points-per-night ranges we measure — about 15,000–25,000 at select-service hotels, 30,000–50,000 at full-service hotels and 60,000–100,000 at luxury hotels — 100,000 points covers about 5–7 nights at select-service hotels, or 2–3 nights at full-service hotels, or 1 night at luxury hotels, counting Marriott's benefit that makes the cheapest night of a five-night points stay free. Marriott has had no award chart since 2022, so check the points price for your dates.
What is the best way to use 100,000 Marriott points?
Usually a five-night award stay, because Marriott makes the cheapest night free when you redeem points for five consecutive nights at one hotel. At 25,000 points a night, 100,000 points books five select-service nights instead of four. The same balance is worth about $700 to $900 on hotel stays, but only $400 to $500 in gift cards.
Can I transfer 100,000 Marriott points to airline miles?
100,000 points transfer to about 38,333 miles at most airline partners (3:1, plus 5,000 bonus miles for every 60,000 points). American, Avianca and Delta don't get the bonus, so those transfers yield about 33,333 miles. That is usually worth it only when you have already found a specific award flight that needs the miles.
